Personality in Organizations

Summary
- Right now in the development of organizations it is overwhelmed by the antirequisite quality of organizations. The personality offers a great potential for exploration and growth and improvement. But right now things that are attributed falsely to personality deficits are really organizational deficits.

Speaker A I can't tell you exactly in the writing where it is but when it would be brought up in sessions where I was with him, he would say it's very important. Personality is very important. But right now in the development of organizations it is overwhelmed by the antirequisite quality of organizations and you can't work on it until you've got a requisite structure. And then the other thing offers the personality offers a great potential for exploration and growth and improvement. But right now things that are attributed falsely to personality deficits are really organizational deficits. And that's what I heard him say and I agree with that by the way, that at the university I know that what appeared to be personality in quote whatever OD is god knows what it is no, God doesn't. Whatever an OD explanation would be would be there's a personality conflict no. Between the president and the vice president faculty no. The president's at a lower stratum than the person that they're having the trouble with. You're going to get conflict of worldview. You're going to get conflict yeah. And you can't resolve it by self reflection. That's what I heard Jack say. That's also what I personally believe. So I never heard Jack say it's irrelevant. The other thing you were talking about analyzed by Melanie Klein I've always and I talked with him about it been struck. I never heard him call her Melanie Klein. He called her Mrs. Klein. Now Jack's bowed before no other person that I know of very important to the Myers Briggs or whatever you want to call it for people at the same stratum. It's very important. It's not going to do one widow difference for a level five to stratum five person to try to improve their relationship with a stratum two by knowing their Myers Briggs score because they're living in different worlds. It's an organizational issue. But at the same level it might have some help. At the same level am sure it does have some help the same level.
